STATE OF ANTISEMITISM IN EUROPE
What is the Current State of Antisemitism in Europe, and how has it evolved in recent years?
Erica Zeman Israeli intelligence officer NGOThe late Rabbi Sachs defined two tendencies within democratic societies. On the one hand there is the group of people, asking ‘what have we done wrong, and how can we improve the situation?’ and on the other hand the group of people thinking ‘Who did this to us?’ who seeks to find an imagined scapegoat.
These type of people refuses to take responsibility upon themselves, whereas the first group is actively involved in searching for better ways of overcoming difficulties.
Further on Rabbi Sachs explains that asking the question of ‘Who did this to us?’ is an echo of centuries of Jewish hatred, shifting from a religious to a scientific, and then State formulating reasons why Western societies feel entitled to hate Jews. After the Second World War antisemitism focussed on the State of Israel. Every national crisis amongst the European nations can easily tip into an avalanche of anti-Israel and Anti-Jewish slur and defamation, which the Neo-Nazis and the Muslim- Brotherhood take on board in their propaganda.
Israel’s Prime Minister offered the Iranian farmers an on-line course of water distillation to save and regain their lost water supply and save their crops. Netanyahu also offered to assist and train Australian Security forces in the aftermath of the Bondi Beach massacre of Chanukah celebrators. Another example is the current situation in Switzerland, the country mourning for 40 young people being either burned or missing during an outbreak of fire while celebrating the New Year of 2026. Israel immediately sent a team to support the Swiss authorities in their search and identification of deceased and missing citizens.
The Muslim Brotherhood has put Europe into a relaxed state by dealing with the governments with billions of financial ‘supply’ for educational purposes and institutions, yet spreading relentlessly antisemitic publication of e.g. the ‘Protocols of the Elders’ of Zion’, a forerunner of delusionary books such as Hitler’s ‘Mein Kampf’, and widely published in Europe and in the Middle East. Even the well-known company of Amazon exhibits two versions of these fabricated lies of Jewish World Conquest. John Anderson AC, the former Deputy Prime Minister of Australia describes this book as ‘laughable, and in no relationship to the truth’. He focuses on reality by asking the Australians what their contribution towards their country is and in doing so points to responsibility rather than being PASSIVE.
John Leeser, an Australian MP, confirms that the West had ignored Israel’s years of warning with regards Iranian’s Hamas and Hezbollah terror and has now to face the consequences of turning a deaf ear to Israel’s signalling the coming danger. European government have become the biggest antisemitic preparation group by protecting Islamists. The U.K Government is presently the saddest example of Antisemitism not only in accepting financial support via Qatar, but allowing the Antisemite Abd El-Fattah to return to live in Britain. Soon after his return videos were found in which he demands the death of the Jewish people, the Zionists and Israel.
The Jewish Community strongly urged Prime Minister Keir Starmer to see the danger of El-Fattah’s presence and to remember his promises to protect them. The government also promised to support the Jewish communities with the finances of £10 million for their safety. In response to the call of reverting El-Fattah’s British citizenship, he claims that he is a changed man, and that he spoke as a young and angry man during the Egyptian/Arab Spring’s (2011) attempt to liberate his country.
But, at this point of this article it is important to let two voices be mentioned. One of them is Lieutenant Colonel Jonathan Conricus, former IDF international Spokesperson from 2017-2021 and during the first three month of the War with Hamas/ Hezbollah in 2023.
He zoomed in, as he described, into the U.K. situation in which dozens of City councils are staffed with ‘outspoken Islamists, who are not loyal to King and Country, but swear only to be servants of UMA, the Arab nations. Their zeal to gain the ballot, undermining steadily the democratic process in order to establish Sheria law in every institution.
The other voice comes from British Journalist and speaker Melanie Philips, who describes the present society as ‘deranged, lacking decency and in lacking the ability to reason’. She also points out that humanity can’t be described as a ‘good action’ if discerning the difference between the good and the evil has vanished. She warns the British population not to seek affiliation with Free Palestine / Hamas as any expectation and hope to become ‘a better person’, will completely fail and work itself into complete destruction of any personal integrity.
Mrs. Philips also makes the distinction between people who are still able to reason and others who are not in their rage against Israel. As long as the willingness to reason is present, Antisemitism can be kept under control, so she continues in her resume of the last two years.
The late Rabbi Sachs moves the attention from following the rise of antisemitism to an astounding retrospective. He says that although antisemitism has attempted for thousands of years to annihilate us, the Jewish people, it never accomplished its aim. In his understanding of our history, he further explained that there is only one nation that can destroy itself with division and hatred, which is the Jewish people themselves. Three times in history the division and disunity among the Jewish people contributed to their exiles during the time of Joseph, calling his family to be in Goshen/ Egypt, then the time of the Babylonian Diaspora, and the third and longest time of Exile from 70/135 A.D. to the 19/20th Century.
Therefore, he urged, the bond of unity, compassion, and forgiveness is the strongest force against antisemitism, and Rabbi Sachs’ statement makes sense.
