HOW DO SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS CONTRIBUTE TO THE SPREAD OF ANTI-SEMITIC IDEOLOGIES ?
How do social media platforms contribute to the spread of Anti-Semitic ideologies?
ERICA ZEMAN
Social media information is often fast, and repetitive. Anti- Semitic rhetoric and violence appeal to non- analytical citizens used as catalysts for promoting a ‘Free Palestine’ by Palestinian Hamas cells throughout Europe.
The Companies can be slow to recognise an Anti- Semitic individual spreading slander and hate as it was was the case with the American Jonathan Christopher Booth and his ‘Shameless Sperk’ channel between May-August 2025.
Journalists can be careless reading scripts with Anti-Semitic remarks written by a listener, as it was done by James O’Brian, a representative of the Leading Britain’s Conversation Radio station. Universities and politicians do not encourage free political debates beyond the set of political correctness. Journalists and lecturers can belittle free speech and thought processes of young people. Consequently, social media can be a war zone between political left and rightwing groups and European government parties.
My research resulted with the observation that right wing parties are immediately labelled as being dangerous, and conspiracy oriented. The nuances of young peoples’s concerns are overlooked in the stifling atmosphere of fear mongering and anxiety spreading dishonest news.
Left wing groups or coalition parties disintegrate in their political profile and execution of legal political power in their lack of vision, planning and infrastructure.
The tension between financial responsibilities, political agendas, increasing digitalisation of workplaces plus dealing with an increasing cultural diversity is by many young people felt as too overwhelming, demanding, and isolating.
The lack of moral, social and political borders prepare societies for civil war, anarchy and militant conquest. If everyone is ‘equal’ who learns and listens to be accountable?
Since October 7th 2023, the Hamas/Palestinian terrorists have taken this vacuum of mora deficiency by deceiving many European social media platforms. In their demand that their’ plight’ and call for attention is a cause for justice and a unifying factor for the western world; Europe has regressed into a Medieval and Nazi regime mindset, in which it was the norm to persecute Jewish communities.
Muslims and Islamic religious and political propaganda are protected in the U. K. government agencies. Social media antisemitists assume to be entitled to criticise Israel in every aspect of Israel’s policies. By joining the Palestine/ Hamas rhetoric, Europe commits suicide in allowing their own historic background nothing then being defamed, distorted and even nullified as non- existent in media outlets.
Anti-Semitic outrages, such as were spread by social media in the U. K. Netherland, Spain, Finland, Germany and France, and enforced with brutality like during the Kristallnacht of Germany in 1938, is evidence of a growing fatalistic society.
Islamic terrorists, disguised as Israel’s victims, live only for lies, deceit, and war as the norm towards Israel. However, the European states have been preparing their own dilemma by dismissing warnings given by Israel since decades through various news channels.
b) What can be done to mitigate Anti- Semitism in social media?
Social media regulations can only be changed by their company owners, who are obliged to abide by civil rights and law.
Nevertheless, Israel’s Prime Minister has shifted the mindset of his population from feeling guilty to being even more assertive and pro-active.
Israel’s safety is paramount and equally the safety of Israel’s Diaspora communities.
In my understanding Anti-Semitic undercurrents and eruptions can be mitigated by:
Spreading Tenakh from B’resheet to K’tuvim(Genesis and Writings) consistently and to a much wider audience. Let the Word speak for itself and let it be read by people from age six to mature persons.
Videos and reels such as Reva yah presents can be extended so that every student is a teacher and every teacher is a student. The common ground of sensible and respectful interaction needs to be shown.
As Rabbis, teachers and supervisors of the next generation train your children as singers and musicians of one chosen instrument, like e.g.
The Argentine ‘El Projecto’ system.
Musical companies of young people gain great attention and stand in sharp contrast to a blaring and death screaming crowd.
Shift the populations thinking of dreamers and immediate fame to be disciplined in every responsibility required. Identity can only take shape if feelings are guarded from being abused by violent men.
Evyatar David, the former hostage, had persistent endurance in his decision-making process towards life and hope.
As orthodox Synagogues rabbis and educators allow your young male and female students to increase in physical robustness for the sake of self defence: call Israeli teachers or join physical education in Eretz Israel to teach boxing, swimming, weightlifting, long distant running also the practice of Triathlon sport training and competition. It is not only a safeguard for your next generation, but also for your own health and the health of your large families.
Be trained as health therapists for your communities so that Israel’s non- orthodox citizens regard you with greater respect and admiration!
Spread your training programs in social media and traditional social networks.
